I have to say, this is by far, one of our favorite things to do. We spent all morning coloring our dolls, and then stuffing and sewing them. The kids love when their creations come to life. Put them in an old mints tin (like Altoids), and make a bed or a carrying case to take them out with you.
Here’s what you need:
- Old T-Shirt
- Stuffing (available at any craft store)
- Sharpies…lots of sharpies!!!
- Brain full of imagination 🙂
Here’s Sofie coloring her first doll. Make sure to stretch the fabric or use a fabric hoop to stretch it.
Cut out the artwork with enough space around the sides. Take another fabric the same size of the drawing and place behind.
Sew around the edges leaving a small gap to put stuffing in. I use Bamboo Fiber for stuffing. Then I finish sewing, and cut excess fabric.
I added a bow and a tail….
Here’s another one…
Here’s one of Bailey’s creations…
