Japanese Doll Kokeshi Party


So here’s the DIY Kimono part.  I got the idea from  and here’s the picture they have on their site.  I decided to make a step by step sheet you can download below.  Here are some pics of how my kimono came out.  Sofie, my “model” ditched her school uniform the minute she saw it.   This would be totally cute to make for all the girls invited to the party.

Download PDF DIY Kimono Instructions here.  To finish it off just paint the sheet with flowers and some branches.  This can be done with Sharpies.  Tie a sash around the waist and you are set!!!

There’s a reason why I LOVE Luna Bazaar .  Here are some great finds for your party!  They have paper lanterns for 85 cents!  Their paper parasols come in so many beautiful colors, careful you don’t get carried away!

Thank you for posting more detailed instructions! I am using this them for my daughter’s party and I was having a hard time with the Parents mag instruction.
